Sonic X-treme (New Paths)

One of the unreleased videos of Sonic X-treme, that was created by Ofer Alon. I've had these in my possession for months and because i stupidly uploaded one last week, Chris has finally released.

This video was made to show off some of the mechanics of Ofers engine and i think it shows them off very well. In this stage of development Chris said "they were more like playgrounds than levels"

If you stop the video at 1:37 you'll notice the texture from that lift if from the Saturn level. Just thought you would like to know that.

Its a pity i don't know as much about this level as i do about the "Saturn" level.

Technically, it was the Sonic communities fault that Ofer isn't going to release this, due to they bombarded the poor fellow with hate mail and even death threats which caused him to leave the scene altogether.

@XKaiminalX I don't understand. The Sonic Fanbase DID'NT WANT him to release it? Wow, if that's the case, then we should run a campaign to try and get him to release it.

If this game were released now, it would be 1000 times better than all the 3d sonic games put together.

competition? you do realize this game was made about 15 years ago right? Pretty sure they didn't know WTF Mario Galaxy was or what it even was going to be.

if the game used the NIGHTs engine then it would've worked perfectly. They could've even used it for future games. This stuff could be competition against Mario Galaxy. The fish eye really gives a crazy sense of disorientation, but in a good way.

if only i was the only one to email him, asking for it.....i'd ask him KINDLY for it, and if he told me to keep it away from ANYONE, then i'd store it on a computer, with absolutely no internet access(so no viruses or worms could get to it), and would never tell anyone i had it.
