Al Pacino such an excellent actor!!! and hot!!

This scene makes me cry every time. Pacino playing a man having a mental break.... it's brilliant, like everything else he does. I agree with others here, NO WAY he should have lost the Oscar for Dog Day Afternoon, which is the most complete and brilliant character ever created IMO. He should have won for the phone scene alone. What a sin.

@stephie4066 Go Figure...A lot of great actors were screwed over at the oscars...Pacino for Godfather 1 and 2, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, Scarecrow etc
Robert De Niro for Mean Streets,Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter...Dustin Hoffman for Midnight Cowboy and Lenny. Pacino was screwed over the most imo.
This is my favorite scene in the movie. The scene alone is a perfect example of Al Pacino's genius. Both Hackman and Pacino are excellent together but it is Pacino's that gives the command performance and this scene is a true testament of the colossal range of his acting prowess.

I believe tha Al isn't appreciated as much
as he should. He only won one oscar,
but i believe he should've won at least three:
godfather,dog day afternoon,scarecrow,insomnia,
scarface,devil's advocate...
