@chuck3668831 Since you're just going to run in circles until I stop you lets try this. After over 10 years of war describe exactly how these various wars have been crashing success. I'm curious to see how to you rationalize the whole mess.
I'm also going to keep a score card of the right-wing talking points your going to run through. This promises to informative.

@colddrake80 Great response. You describe my previous response and cry about name calling while name calling yourself about my "mentality." And tried to pass it off as a response. And your first response of pay attention to last 10 years was good? Get a clue.

@chuck3668831 Blistering come back. You've pretty much repeated what I wrote - with name calling to fit your mentality - and tried to pass it off as a response.

@colddrake80 How about you pay attention instead of being a leftist idiot.
-
@chuck3668831 *sigh* Try to pay attention to what has happened over the past 10 years.

@RonDukeSilverSwanson Romney would have for those same reasons cross over appeal with liberals.

@colddrake80 He wasn't trying to gather info on Romney's own position, he was trying to get info on the general opinion that columnists had of Romney at that time. In other words, "this clown" did go to the primary source. And he wasn't complaining, he was just making the point that there wasn't any career-based incentive to become a conservative.

Not really an extreme position. Jon Huntsman, considered one of the most moderate GOP candidates, said he would absolutely veto the assault weapons ban. Wanting an assault weapons ban shows a misunderstanding of the Constitution, the effects of gun control, and personal liberty. You personally might not agree with assault rifles (which some people confuse with machine guns, which they are not) but I hope that the Republican party platform stays consistently pro 2nd Amendment.
-
@RonDukeSilverSwanson - supporting an assault rifles ban is hardly "not being conservative". It's quite a strong right/extreme position to not want to ban assault riffles - either way it does not make one not a conservative, it makes him not a strong right/ extreme conservative. That could be good or bad.
Hmmm, anyone who saw Romney as a "rock hard genuine conservative" in 2008 were not looking closely enough. Supporting assault rifles ban, Romneycare, supporting bailouts, previously being pro-choice (when it was politically beneficial). A lot of other positions that were questionable too. I do not think there will be enough enthusiasm about Romney to bring enough people to the conservative/Republican side.
