My drum covers are recorded using a a Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer (http://amzn.to/qwWLUg), into Tracktion, and then placed into Pro Tools 9 (http://amzn.to/pIa50K) for mixing and mastering.

Shure SM57's (http://amzn.to/qIr8I1) on all toms and snare
Shure Beta 91 (http://amzn.to/oYZ4iw) on the kick drum
MXL 990's (http://amzn.to/qpeVzh) as overhead mics
