is there a way to change the view of the crane like the vehicle export? its impossible to see the depth perspective using this view

I have difficulty controlling the crane. For one, when I hover over the truck it only goes to the cliff above it, it doesn't make it to the actual truck and I have to drive the truck up there. Am I missing something with the crane controls?
