Because I Am A Girl

Because I am a Girl is a campaign that aims to transform the lives of the worlds poorest girls. Every year from 2007 to 2015 Plan will be producing a report that looks at the different ways girls around the world are affected by discrimination. Plan believes that girls access to education and legal rights can break the cycle of poverty and discrimination that girls face around the world.

I feel so blessed to have been born in America, where my rights as a woman are protected for the most part. I can't imagine growing up being considered "less" just because of my gender. I wish I could help all these girls.

im a straight guy and i really want to find a way to help these girls. both genders are equal and should have equal rights. i cant imagine being sold for labour and sex at 10 or being a parent at 12. poor kids.

I really doubt that you want to have equal rights with these women because if you do then, when a woman finds out she's expecting a boy, she has to terminate her pregnancy, boys should not be allowed to go to school, underaged boys have to get married to women twice their age, they should always be underappreciated for whatever they do because of their gender, they should always be the last who get the food and etc. etc.

Wow! Another mind-control video showing how African, Indian & Asian are inferior, poor, stupid and most of all Victims. I've been to more than 36 countries on this planet for work and travel. I saw very little of this and much more positive situations. This is emotional manipulation serving to divide males from females and get them fighting one another. Because I am a guy, I am called a pig. Because I am a guy, I am immediatly hated by girls, as all guys are selfish jerks. Because I am a guy, I'm called a rapist. List goes on. Sorry for posting this on such an emotianal video, I just had to put this out there. I understand the problem of discrimination in other countries, and think it's wrong. I never understood why woman were once and in some countries still are, "below men". So we have different parts, higher voices, like, personalities, etc. We are still humans! Woman deserve equal rights!
