@Azaurmyth but the Phantom was incredibly selfish. If he really loved Christine, he would have let her stay with Raoul and be happy that he was happy. And Raoul truly loved Christine, didnt she say they had been childhood sweethearts? But they lost touch when Christine went to the opera house, obviously when Raoul saw her he hadn't forgotten her and had loved her all those years.

I would have so stayed with the Phantom. Raoul was just a selfish, shallow little wannabe. The Phantom always loved Christine for who she was. Raoul only loved her when she started making a name for herself.
