Klassen Padre Island Sharks Surf Fishing part 1

Part 1 of 2, watch this one first. This is one where my blankety blank producer/partner thought I needed to get a haircut because he thought I looked too surfer dudish. So friggen what, thats more like what I am. He was always worried about my image towards kids. Unfortunately, this was a business, not a hobby kids dont pay the bills they dont shop at Cabelas, drive SUVs, take Viagra, drink sports drinks, or buy anything else from any of the sponsors we had. Kids have enough shows of their own. The guy wanted to make me the Peewee Herman of fishing shows. Sorry, bad choice. Anyway, this guy Billy Sandifer I fished with on this show was a real nutcase, when it came to fishing. Dont get me wrong, I really liked the guy, but whoooo doggy. We were fishing for sharks from the beach this guy would take a big old chunk of dead bait, put a hook in it and swim out 200 yards with it to get the bait out there, then swim back and fight the shark that had followed him out there to get the bait. Watch in this show where he goes to point out the teeth of one I landed (part 2) and the thing snaps at him. This is Texas.

@mmmmmarcus I spent a summer fishing padre and caught nothing but hardheads. It was my fault for not getting a guide at the start of the summer to learn the ins and outs. And note to self - spider weights bending the wire the correct direction makes all the difference. I need a redemption for that one...

I'm writing in regards to your efforts to keep padre island free of garbage. My hat goes off to you. I hope u can keep it oil free. I might have had a chance to head down that way & now I don't think I will. This is about as close to a letter of condolence as It gets. Hope the best for u billy & the oil spill clean-up effort

Man, ive been trying to find a place that sells spiderweights i just broke down, and made my own. They kick ass for shark fishing. No tangles!
