Secular societies don't actively factor this in at all times, so it can be pretty easy to paint Israel as in the wrong. But, what's also pretty easy is realizing that terrorism was started in Palestine. The only people that believe Israel is a nation of terrorists, are kooky conspiracy theorists. There's really no mystery here. You need not look further than allegiance you have to people in your lives, friends and family. Israel and the U.S. are allies, they're friends. We have good long standing relations with Israel. The Jewish people have been railroaded out of every country they try to inhabit. They feel they have every right to that land based off their religion, as the Palestinians feel opposite, based on their religion. You have to look at this conflict from a theocratic view.
