A very good rare ballad from the band back in 1990 I guess. I added some pictures of Chicago around that year.

  • Beautiful song!Thank you for sharing, cetera06!I think mr.scheff did a pretty good job with this song. However, at 0:28, it sounds like the track skips to a different part.It almost sounds like there was going to be another verse or continuation of the same verse in the same melody, but then got cut out and changed to a different melody leading to the chorus.Does anybody know if there is an alternate or demo to this song that may include a part that is seemingly cut out or skipped in this version?

  • @raz0rshrp thanks to you my friend for view this upload!, Best Regards!

  • Gorgeous song-sadly and I cant figure this out for the life of me but it didnt make the cut for the album CHICAGO 21.I can relate to it from a personal standpoint but love how Jason sings this, not sure what others here are talking about. Its a rough copy due to this being the demo since it was never officially released on any commercial album.Perhaps Rhino can add this as a bonus whenever Chicago 21 is remastered because this really is a beautiful song.

  • @TimfromChicago Agree with you my friend, but sadly, people just judge in this space without any music knowledge...this is a jewel! Thanks for viewing my vids!!!!!

  • I'm not a musician or knew something much about music. All I know is how to listen. I don't care what the heck is your hitting the note. But this song is great in my ear. It is relaxing and soothing and so the voice of Jason Scheff.

  • Jason has a good voice, but what is apparent on this track, and especially on "XXX" is his reaching notes beyond his range. He should take a cue from Cetera and sing most of the tunes in lower keys. Jason would sound a lot better with a a warmer tone and more accurate intonation.

  • Thank you G-D for Chicago. Been a fan since I was 9 yrs old. Tough times.......They helped me make it through and survive! <3 4 ever!

  • I have this on my "favorites" so I can call it up any time. Just love this song.

  • First time hearing this one. Thanks cetera06.

  • @fayette202 >Why being so nasty towards them? Seems to me you're just jealous! Dreaming of performing on stages around the world, welcomed with open arms by thousend and thousend of fans for more than 40 years (Robert, Lee, Walt and Jimmy). And I sure hope you won't ever break a hip or something related to getting older...Calling this band a cover band with those 4 still in it, is mean and ridiculous and very insulting to Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, Jimmy Pankow and Walt Parazaider.

  • @marmont48 Wake up and smell the coffee- they're not a whisper of what they used to be. Dude—they're a cover band of themselves. As they get older and have more health issues I'm afraid their time is about up. If they ever hope to be taken seriously again they've got to find viable voice talent to complement the horn talent. Hopefully they'll find someone who can sing before one of them breaks a hip.

  • I think this song should have been included on "Twenty-1", and "If It Were You" left off instead.

  • @marmont48 Yeah, well, "sold out" is a relative term. I saw them 3 times in the 70's and also in recent years but the venues now are a fraction of the size they were pre-Scheff. Sorry, pal, album sales speak for themselves. I stand by my earlier comment. The lead singer doesn't have to be a carbon copy of his predecessor to be successful. (e.g. Doobie Brothers) But finding someone who can sing within his range, stay on pitch and not sing through his nose would be a vast improvement.

  • @fayette202 And do you think ALL those Chicago fans in the US and all over the world (Asia, Philipines, Japan, Australia, Brasil, Mexico, Europe, come to see Chicago just 'cause Jason has a 'Cetera sound-ish' voice? I don't think so! All the REAL Chicago fans ( I'm one since 1969, I've seen Terry and Peter 'LIVE') also LOVE Jason! As I do so! I've seen them in Paris and all the concerts in Europe were 'sold out' and they were so succesful. They just ARE the BEST 'all American Band 'LIVE' ever!

  • This might only be a demo so his voice isnt hitting the notes perfectly. I still like this song
