Reader Story - Hallie Hawkins on Open Sesame ACCESS

From a Charlotte, NC Work Party held on October 1, 2009 to officially launch a book written by local author Marilyn L. Carpenter. The book is called "Open Sesame: Why It's All About ACCESS for the New Worker of the 21st Century" and speaks directly to the current job market and post-2008 recession. Several months prior to the party, we ran a contest on Charlotte-area LinkedIn groups and asked workers to apply to be one of three featured talents at the event. After 120+ applications, we narrowed it down to 10, who received a copy of the book and a workbook to complete. We chose the Top 3 Feature Talents for the book launch based on the workbook submissions, and prepared videos that featured at the Work Party. This is one of those videos.
