    I cook it in a rice cooker. If the rice measured in the rice cooker is 1 inch thick, you'd have to add enough water till it covers the rice by another inch. So basically the water has to be nearly twice the amount of rice in the cooker.

    Add one teaspoon of rice wine vinegar for each cup of water you add to the rice; if you want the rice to become sticky, soak it overnight in room temperature water, and rinse it 70-100 times in hot water before cooking. It's an energy intense process, but that's how rice is hand-polished. Don't be lazy and cut down the number of times you wash the rice in hot water. It just doesn't work that way. Or you could buy sticky rice at an Asian market and add rice wine vinegar.
