Resident Evil 5 Gameplay footage 1 (Shaky Camera)

Footage from a hand held video camera of the Resident Evil 5 playable demo at the Euro Gamer Expo 2008 in London. Apologies for audio quality and background noise.

This level seemed reminiscent of the Village from Resi 4, but much more chaotic. The whole game feels very similar really, except for Capcoms attempt to make the Ashley character useful, which was extremely unsuccessful. While she can fight, she often gets in the way, especially when backing away from enemies, and getting in your line of sight. The most annoying factor is that enemies are out to kill her, instead of just pick her up, causing her to die an awful lot against harder enemies, which results in a game over for us here, and in the third part of the gameplay footage.

Well, it was a £5 entry to the expo, which let you try as many games as were in the hall, which was quite a lot, though the only long term release was this, most of the others were trying to sell for Christmas, but we still got to play them early!

yeah, I'll get on the 2nd and third parts when I'm bothered, probably soon... Anyway, this was actually me and friends playing the game, and I found it extremely similar to resi 4, possibly slightly more combat based, but i guess that's the only bit worth showing off in a 5-10 minute demo...
