How to launch a tumblewing walkalong glider and sustain it with the air flowing around a paddle.

For more information on how to build and fly the tumblewing see:

  • can you make one that doesn't spin?

  • The indoor surfer paper airplane walkalong glider is a traditional "fixed wing" design.

  • what should i use as a paddle

  • a pizza box would work just as well. Here I use a similar sized 1/16 inch thick transparent lexan polycarbonate sheet for safety.

  • Any inequality in the winglets will result in turning as the glider will be "falling off" into a slip. Make sure the winglets are at right angles and one does not have more area than the other.
