Policewoman hit by semi-trailer

A Peruvian police motorcyclist is recovering in hospital after surviving a terrifying encounter with a semi-trailer. The officer, named as Sonia Nalvarte, was reportedly leading a police escort transporting a prisoner to a Lima jail when she rode directly into the path of an oncoming 18-wheel truck last Wednesday.
