I have to admit that I always associated the band with "Sweet Home Alabama", a song I simply don't happen to like. Therefore, they were never really on my radar screen. Which was stupid, admittedly, because this piece is simply fantastic. I guess, I have to dig a little deeper now.

I wouldnt go so far to claim they were anti gun, Ronnie, Gary, and Gene Odom hunted ALOT in the 1970s, and Ronnie owned many guns, just saw no need for handguns, probably because he had them pulled on him many times in local bars.
