I, for one, thought the music was just right. And these were Bakst works I'd never seen. Thank you. This was wonderful.

Could you please tell me who is the flutist playing Syrinx here , it's also wonderfull !
Thank you

Frankly speaking, I like Debussy's music and Syrinx, therefore I decided to chose it as a backgroud music )

As far as I remember, You're right. Fokine did the choreography :)

I'm looking for a large-format album of Bakst costume designs in color. Can you suggest any particular edition?

@14198O I could recommend you an album "Lev Bakst" by Golynets. But unfortunately it was published in1993 & the quality of colour rendering leaves much to be desired in comparison with modern editions. & it's dedicated to his Art on the whole. Also I know there're some albums by Aurora publishing, Palace editions, etc(Saint-Petersburg), dedicated to Dyaghilev & Ballets Russes. Also there's an album hXX://Xww.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/4857960/ -where some sketches are represented

@14198O Plus, I've seen an album by Pozharskaya, published in 1987?, dedicated to Ballets Russes. There you could find lots of sketches made by Bakst. This book could be found only in some Bookseller's & libraries.

Too bad you didn't use the original music for this ballet. "Narcisse and Echo" by Nicholas Tcherepnine is available on Chandos (Orchestra: Residentie Orkest
Conductor: Gennady Rozhdestvensky)
