My RC8 with RB WS7 III and JP-4 out in our back field.

Tuned up to the max, and trying to keep the WOT short. A really tough buggy as yet. Someone's told me it's weak :S

  • I'm buying a whole new kit for christmas and since you have both the os .21 v spec and the ws7 what motor is better and in what ways? Which is more fuel efficient? Which holds a tune better? Which one has more engine life (how much compression over time)? Which is your overall favorite?

  • In my opinion, the V-Spec is a far superior motor to the WS7. For a start it looks better lol, but it is much more fuel efficient (around a 10:00 engine) and will rev higher on a safe tune. I've never really been an RB fanboy but i really do just love the V-Spec. Wack a JP-4 or 2013 pipe on it and you will be impressed!

  • I was wondering about the pick up is amazing on the rc8 and I was wondering if it's centre diff is locked or what gives it the torque to wheelie and pick up like it does???? Any input would be appreciated

  • Nope, i've never locked a diff :) What gives it the torque is a lot of money lol...RB engines are high spec as is the JP4...They both make a really powerful setup :) Check out my V-Spec as well - That's quicker than this setup ;)

  • @jimgotnitro so obvisusly the stock motor just dont cut it lol "pro spec" pfft yer fully hahaha how much ius the engine setup worth in that.....or any mods i could get for my stock engine like pipes or anything....?

  • @Tunerboii2045 well it didn't come with a motor stock...Bought it as a race roller so needed my own electronics and all. Errm, well it's a WS7III which was about 270 odd(?) when new and the JP4 was (and still is i think) a £50 pipe. Do the math.... ;) it's not cheap lol.

The JP4 would wake up any stock engine, it really is a fantastic pipe and brings the best out of most engines. The only mod i'd suggest doing without getting a new engine :)
