  • I love magic, I don't get the role playing aspect.

  • @jmorrow22 I do too, and here's the best part: There isn't a role playing aspect (I don't even pay attention to that "you are a planeswalker" stuff. The -game- is what's brilliant).

  • 14:51 "we wanted jace to feel like jace" ... i think you overdid that one...

  • @bottomlesschad

I think he means Zendikar as a set. Also, design is 2 years ahead of us. So his benchmark comment makes sense when: Worldwake, Rise, Scars, Besieged, NPH, Innistrad, Dark Ascension, and the Hook block have all been completed or are being worked on at the time of this video.

  • Am I the only person that imagined him sounding alot different?

  • Did Mrs. Rosewater drop little Mark on his head as a young child?

  • @jmorrow22 Pretty sure that's just to get you're imagination going.... and it hooks the children into playing haha.

  • And him talking about Zendikar being the "benchmark" ... IT WAS THE LAST SET!!! Of COURSE this set will be compared to the last. Man, I hate this guy sometimes!!!

  • Do you think that Mark Rosewater realizes that he is not Magic The Gathering? He constantly talks about "I did this" or "I did that", and always makes it sound like he's the only one that comes up with any ideas there. Does he even realize that there are other people on the design team??? Also, not to sound like a complete jerk, but I DON'T CARE IF HE WROTE FOR ROSEANNE! It has NOTHING to do with Magic cards!!!! Seriously, get some modesty, dude. Give your design team some credit, too.

  • phyrexia will win.

The story wants thinking enemies as well as fanatical.

Designer fought to make phyrexia better.

Story-wise, the mirrans have to find a way to get rid of all the corrupting oil; highly improbable.

+: Phyrexians had more time. And poison is meant to be the killer.
