They are two different types of plastics.
ABS is acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. Tons of things are made form ABS.
Sintra is a brand name in the US for foamed PVC board. Less popular but still available in sheets.

It's not that they can't make one, its that they don't think it's worth it. There are people(plural) that have made metal versions of mine. I understand what your saying about not being 'real'. I actually have plans on the table to make a 'fully' functional steel version. Mainly 'cause I'm tired of people harpin' on them and being so negative toward metal blades for no apparent reason.
