  • Hi. I create my music from scratch and I own the all copyrights. I looked up the FAQ for info on how does the copyright works with cdbaby but I could use more details.

Could you please tell me if I need to register my copyright before sending it to CDbaby? do you ask for evidence that I have created the music? or maybe give me a link that explains a but more about this. Thank you.

  • @Kurs2000 WE do not require that you register your copyrights before you submit your music to CD Baby. We don't ask for any evidence other than the info that you enter in during the sign up process.

  • I have a question, do we get the profits or it goes to you guys

  • @CommanderMeaty Of course you get the profits.

  • Is there a way to set the release date so the album only shows on itunes after a certain date?

  • @JamalHoltMusic Yes! You set the release date in your account when you sign up an album. iTunes won't post the album until that date.

  • why cant yall distribute to beatport

  • @PunkZombie1300, Thanks for checking out the site! It's $39 to distribute an album and $9.95 to distribute a single. We distribute to over 20 stores, and the best part is it's just a one-time fee. So once you pay to distribute your album, we keep it out as long as you want! Let us know if you have any other questions!

  • Doesn't it cost like $30-$40 per album and $10 per single? I checked out the site a while ago and remember the prices being around there. Not that I'm complaining, considering you guys distribute music on so many different stores.

  • @GLGAMERS The only way to sell a podcast on iTunes would be to group episodes together like an album and sell them together. Everything in the iTunes podcast section is free.
