What do you think about the notion of free will? An interesting experiment conducted by the BBC's "Bang Goes The Theory Team" regarding a psychological phenomenon called "Priming". It is a phenomenon that may well change your understanding about the way we are all affected by what we see, and so, how we perceive our environment... And all without even knowing. Pretty freaky, eh? You've been warned!

  • My guess is that handling lots of money raised adrenaline & stress levels of the tests subjects - making them hungrier for sweets, less helpful and less susceptible to pain. They basically went into "hunt mode". A similar effect could probably be created by for example scaring the participants or injecting them with an adrenaline shot.

  • Definitely... I'd have to agree with you on that. Sure... Putting them into a "Fight or Flight" state might well have similar consequences. Keep thinking! :)

  • Why the fuck is he speaking English... with English subtitles?

  • @HunterTyler Very interesting point of wiew!

  • amazing experiment....money vs evil....hhahha just kidding....

  • I don't agree with sirmacintoy's posit re:adrenaline & cortisol (stress) levels. Identical behavior has been observed in response to the availability of luxury goods. Luxury goods also "prime" individuals to be less concerned about or considerate toward others. How does riding in town cars and on flying in corporate jets stress people out?

  • This guy is obviously not prone to suggestions when it comes to hair style.
