'Giants of Eden Storytelling' is a visionary project inspiring a whole new generation to embrace the traditional art of telling tall tales.
Professional storyteller Dominic Kelly explains how the project will unfold from the initial workshop with 400 schoolchildren, through developing stories with 18 Cumbrian schools over coming months, making giant puppets to illustrate these stories, and then culminating in a mass telling of their tales by the children as part of the 2011 May Day carnival parade in Penrith.
The project is administrated & supported by Penrith Action for Community Transition (PACT), a local transition town initiative.
