Realtime 3D measurement with the new measurement priciple "Flying Triangulation", developed at the Institute of Optics, Information and Photonics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
The acronym OSMIN is our program:
"Optical Sensing, Metrology and INspection".
Our aim is to understand the physical limits of optical 3D sensors, and the information-theoretical limits of algorithms to process 3D data. We apply this knowledge to investigate and build new sensors that work at those limits. Most of the projects are in cooperation with partners from industry, medicine or art conservation. Our sensors are commercialized by our spin-off company "3D-Shape GmbH", Erlangen.
