Patience is a virtue(and a card game)Just a video from a bus drivers POV.Yes it can be frustrating being behind slow cyclists but what can you do.No point overtaking when there isn`t room. And anyway there are bus stops to observe,we travel at the same speed on average i find (traffic permitting)

  • At 2:10 and 5:50 I notice you move into the right lane.

I was trained to stay in the left lane, even though the arrow says turn left, as there are bus lanes straight after the lioghts. Was told it's pointless going in the right lane then moving straight back to the left lane after the lights.

  • @MarcBeddy To be honest if it's busy i will use the left hand lane aswell.

  • is it allowed 2 cycle in the bus lanes in the uk ?

  • @grrrrrrrrrrrreg Yes it is allowed in the UK. Is it not allowed in your country?

  • Nice video. Amazing how the cyclist keeps running the red.

Any idea why the sound is tinny and echoing ? Maybe too much gain or a microphone issue ?

  • I think the tinny sound and echoing is just the sound of the bus along with the cab heater keeping me warm. :)

  • It annoys me when I'm cycling and holding up a bus, I try and go as fast as possible or pull into a side road to let the past. Frustrating for the driver and cyclist, but nothing much can be done until road planners make a better solution?

  • That bloddy cyclist ignored every red traffic light, then they complain they're not given any respect on the road !!!

  • @BritishRider Firstly, you must have a car licence and some firms such as First like you to have a clean licence as well. The minimum age is 21 to apply for a PCV licence. However, in many cases the age is now 18. Many of the larger firms such as Stagecoach and First are often nearly always training as they have many people that leave. Best thing to do, always check their websites to see when they are recruiting and no doubt, you'll strike lucky as I did.

  • it must be really hard stopping at all the stops when there are loads of cyclists around - especially when some of them do things like undertake even when you're about to stop.

  • ha leeds

  • Hi m8 I'm 20 in December I'm in Notts I'm applying to every bus company I can find, any advice? Thanks.

  • @TheArashmatashable Correct on both points.
