  • Tom Manion's son Travis is an american hero

  • His son inspired him... These are good people who gave more than you know, I am sure they'd much rather have Travis back than a career in politics

  • When you say his whole campaign was his son's death, it doesnt make you seem legit. Anyone who can say they think Colonel Manion was in someway "using" the death of his son for his own gain does not quite understand a father-son bond, much less a military one. What you will never understand is that WE (those who serve and have served) dont expect people like you to get it. Use your freedom of speech, but dont use it to make assumptions and bash someone greater than you could ever hope to be.

  • When you surround your whole campaign on your son's death, it doesn't make you seem to legit.

  • i agree

  • You're incorrect. If you had listened properly, you would've found that the quote was said by Travis, not Tom.

Also, if you can find any merchandise from Tom's election that says "Vote Manion 08 because he lost his son" or something, please show it. But you won't, because there is no such merchandise, which is because the Manion family's loss was not used in the election at all.

  • I am a Republican, and I proudly voted for Patrick Murphy.

The "Letters From Travis" series really solidified the fact that Mr. Manion was using his son's sacrifice as a springboard for a political career.

  • The most sickening hypocrite to ever run for Congress is Tom Manion.

Quote from Tom Manion "[Bucks County Democrats] are notching the number of [the fallen in Iraq] at their headquarters as a political statement, and I really got a problem with it, and I want to do something about it."

Politicizing the fallen in Iraq.....of course, that is not what you are doing with own heroic son, right Tom? Sleazy.
