The Humanitarian Relief Effort to Taunesia by ASEAN was the first baptism of fire for the young citizen soldiers of the Singapore Armed Forces. The Relief Mission was on the brink of failure until the decisive battle of Refugee Camp 178 that turned the tide of the conflict.
This is the story of the memorial built to the memory of those who fought and fell during the battle.
