@ebonyepi It is really an outside solo...and beautifully phrased I may add. If melodic pentatonic solos are what you are used to, this solo may sound quite unusual. Holdsworth, Zappa, and many others were masters at this type of solo. Check out a tune by Joe Satriani called "Not Of This Earth" and you will notice the same type of "outside" vibe to it.
These are the type of solos that tend to grow on you over time.
