  • could i use this to regulate the light of my room? or is a 220V to much voltage?

  • @kcinkcinkcinnick

You can use it to switch anything up to 250V, but the board must be powered by a 12v source, and make sure you put the mains voltage in the right terminals otherwise you have fireworks...

  • Hi. I just bought this kit and am confused as to how to connect a 220 V lamp. Sorry for my ignorance but the kit states contact rating 24VAC/ DC 3A max and I am not sure what this means exactly (electronics newbie) and am trying to get some info before I start. The kits I have completed have all been very low power and I don't want to zap myself or someone else. Cheers

I'm not entirely sure, but I think a lot of these things have been rated as 24v, but should be 240v (at a guess!!! Don't take my word from this though!!!), but my switch was rated at 250v, so if you connected the NO & Common terminals to a light, it should work fine so long as you don't use something too powerful as a light.... :)

  • Hi! I've to make a question.

I've done the same thing and i have to connect a 220 V lamp too.

What di you use? What's that black box?

  • @1Iskra2

Hi, the black box in the video is a 12v battery (supplying both the switch and the lamp), you can use it to switch a 220v light on and off, just run the wires through the in and out terminals on the board, but you still need to supply the unit with 9 to 12 volts DC, but you can just use an ac-dc power supply for that purpose... :)
