The winner of the prize for Best Animated fan film at Star Wars Celebration V and was presented in 3D during the convention. "The Solo Adventures" tells the tale of how Han Solo dropped his cargo at the first sign of an Imperial Cruiser. But of course there is a lot more to the story! This film was a class project by students at the DAVE School of digital Arts and Visual Effects in Orlando Fla. This version of the film is not the same as the one that appears on Atom films.com. This version is the primed and polished HD version that was shown at Star Wars Celebration V (minus the 3D conversion.) Much thanks goes to the folks over at the DAVE School for giving us the opportunity to post this amazing film!
Star Wars is Copyright Lucasfilm and all credit for this fan film goes to the students and staff of the DAVE School.

  • per phantom menace. palpatine didnt meet jar jar till he was brought to coracasnt. valorum was still chancelor of the senate. palpatine was up against organa for the chancelorship....organa and palpatine were colegues in the senate

  • @226shelmus With all due respect, that's inaccurate. Per Phantom Menace, Palpatine was up against a senator from Alderaan, but his name was Bail Antilles. They are not the same person.

  • I thought Jaba had a bounty on Han for payments on the Millenium Falcon???!? Good movie nonetheless!

  • @Loosifr Nope, Jabba put a price on Han's head because he dumpped his cargo at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser...(All revealed in Star Wars Episode IV) The original story was that it was a shipment of spice, but the DAVE school folks put a very cool twist on the story.

  • well lets see how about bail organa, leia's adoptive father??? mon mantha??

  • @226shelmus JarJar knew Palpatine 10 years longer than Bail Organa nor Mon Mothma. Jar Jar would have technically been a successor of sorts to Palpatine as they served in the same office as Senators from Naboo. Jar Jar would be in a position and privy to certain information that could expose Palpatine. For those reasons he would have been valuable to the Rebel Alliance. Keeping any damning information out of Rebel hands would be enough reason for the Empire to track him down.

  • cool! I really enjoyed this :)

  • Must make more please!!!

  • @Sedryn

Yeah, I think he does Han's Voice in "Empire At War" & "Renegade Squadrons" too. He definately matchs Fords voice to a tee.

He does a Much better job at doing Ford than Lax Lang (in Rouge Squadron 3 or BF2), it sounded too deep to be Han. That's what you get with the Voice Over Guy for Movie Trailers, eh?

  • @DisneyFanReview No you're wrong. Jar Jar was a representative NOT a senator. Amidala was Palpatine's successor in the senate. Get your info right. And at that point Palpatine was already exposed. That cartoon rabbit wouldn't have been any kind of threat to him. Great short though and funny ending nonetheless.

  • Dude, this was fantastic. Great ending too!

  • It would be cool if they made this into an actual TV series. Seeing Han and Chewie's adventures that took place before A New Hope.

  • As it got closer to the ending, I started suspecting it might end with a joke of some kind. While it made me laugh, I kind of wish they hadn't done it and had just played it straight instead. Still, it was all pretty awesome.

  • BRILLIANT animation, awesome adventure, excellent characterization on han, + a fun little retcon (which makes sense. it always blows my mind when i remember palpatine + jar jar share a home planet).

it would have been amazing to see it in 3D.

i know it takes ages, + is a lot of difficult, thankless work, but i must ask...

any more star wars animations in teh pipeline..? <=0)

    @zealot4god nope, i don't either.

  • @zealot4god

She was talking about her adoptive mother.

  • kudos
