I’m happy with my 325i, but the only performance mods are sport suspection and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!
-Adds 9HP average
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.
I'm thinking maybe performance exhaust, but eh.

shit

@HandalE30 Getrag 240 won't bolt on an M20, let alone an M30. The 240/245 only bolts on to the M10/M40 engines.

Great project! The only thing i am afraid is the eng monture! What brackets did you used?
-
@uberBMWmotorist Fuck off with your shitty ship made freaky`n parts!

Performance E30ers can start with a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. It can add up to 9HP average for only about $150 and installs in 30-45 minutes - really a must for every E30 owner. It also makes the car HOWL at high end but sounds normal at everyday driving. See my in-action videos!
-Get plenty more oomph out of the E30!
-Increase MPG at regular speeds!
-Get that great induction rally sound!
-
does it have a rad fan?
-
Well done!

just awesome
Thanks people! :)
1. yes it does have a radiator fan but a external electric one not an engine driven one.
2. custom made engine brackets mounted where the original ones used to be only on the furthest setting. (the block has 2 more holes on the front from factory so u can use them to re position your brackets)

The transmission I used was the getrag 260/6 you can use the 240 but its weaker. Cant use the 260 from the m20.

i'm thinking of doin an m30b35 swap sometime this summer. How long did it take you to swap (how long was it undrivable)?
rbd318 2 years ago
it took me about 3 months but because i didnt have all the parts ready, had problems finding the gearbox! if you have everything ready for the swap you could have it back driving the next day! but thats working the whole day. =) Go for it its really rewarding!
