No no dude there is a difference. An NPC is a non player character which cannot be controlled. A bot is a computer controlled character IN PLACE of a normally controllable character for convenience. An NPC can never be controlled however a BOT is a controllable character which is currently under AI control. It has a bigger signifigance in the realm of multiplayer.

Thanks for the comment, but really... Pointless? Listen to the voice over again. If you are a gamer, then surely the ideas make some sense. It makes sense to many non-gamers and museum curators, so anyone who plays should be able to understand the ideas.

yeah, but i heard that crap about video gameinfluence, i play Black, but i dont go around with an AK trying to "stop government control" i just personally thought it was a bit weird

Thanks for the comment, but I think you misunderstand the point of this video. It is not about the political discussion of how video games influence people or incite violence. It's about how we as players see ourselves within games - how our ideas about identity can be influenced by creating in-game identities that reflect the player's true nature, and not just the personality that the game developer's presume.
