@rcflux2 I have one video of the USA running but it went up in smoke due to an internal short during the video. I preferred the MTH partly due to cost as to do three big boys with USA T would cost 10k. I prefer steam but enjoy the diesel as well. Thanks for commenting :)

@rcflux2 Hi there, it was big and took some time to build. I'm an MTH dealer so I get my MTH engines direct. On the other items I've gotten at a number of places but I get most of my stuff through G scale Junction at this point. If you go to my website I have a modifications section that shows exactly how to modify and install a kadee like I did mine. The kadee body mount couplers are pretty much indestructable. I have a USA Big Boy it just stays in a display case.

Thats one huge layout! I was wondering where do you purchase your locomotives at? Also shouldn't the couplers brake from all those cars. Also how do you install a coupler in the front of the big boy and why did you decide to go with MTH over USA trains and do you prefer diesel or steam

@jerry91a Very true, one of the big efforts was to have all cars have body mounted kadee couplers.
Ok thanks and I can find your email on your site correct

Thanks for replying. I have a few more questions though. Keep in mind I am new to the hobby so here you go
1. How do you distribute the power supply voltage all around the track because wont the train slow down the further you get from the power supply?
2.what's the difference between that 15 amp power supply you have and a 10 amp or 20 amp?
3. Do you know any good online distributors of MTH locomotive I know wholesale trains is good but they don't have MTH.

@rcflux2 Hi there, anytime :) Ask away, always glad to help. If you like you're welcome to go to my website and send me an email to the email address at the bottom of the webpage. On the layout, in this particular case, Im using all brass track and all brass splitjaw rail clamps. Brass is 80% copper so it transfers power (as long as youre using non-oxidized clamps) without much voltage drop. I had three connections from the powersupply to the 1600ft oval.

@rcflux2 The only real difference between amperage is the amount of power it can deliver. If you have trains needing 3amps of power total on the track, there is no difference between a 5 amp power supply and a 100amp. The power supply only outputs what is needed. I am an MTH dealer so you are welcome to shoot me an email and I would be glad to get you a price or info on anything you're interested in. Let me know if this helps some.
