The benefits to using homemade Steady-cams

I made this video in about 10 minutes. This video shows how a homemade steady-cam works, and why you should make one for your videos.

NOTE: Whether using a steady cam or not, video will be more shakey the more it is zoomed in (unless you use a tripod).

Better than going handheld. It's better to use your tripod as a steadycam.

haha thanks! you can also use your tripod as a steadycam. you crank out the center column and hold it at it's balance point with the camera attached.

that dosn't look very steady to me! i know its homemade, but i just saw some other guys homemade steadicam-tripod here on youtube, and his was, sorry to say it, better (ie. more steadier)

Thank you! if you need any help just let me know! It might be easier to use a quick release plate (the ones tripods have) as camera mount for the steady-cam. I go into more detail on my thread on bff. :o
