@TheGreylo No contested means that anyone, group or raid can attack the target and the first one to do so after the spawn owns the fight, until the mob is dead or the group is. The contest is the race to get to the creature, as apposed to instanced where each group or raid gets their own set of mobs to kill. In EQ2 Stormhold is a contested dungon while Nektulos Castle is instanced. Non-PvP servers the only pvp is opt-in. (Battlegrounds, arena or /duel), on PvP servers it is open world PvP.
So contested on a no pvp server means if i go into that area i'm flagged for pvp or just able to be attacked?
