  • I'm selling mine on Evilbay now...shedding some tears 'cause I really dig this sound...soooo dry and powerfull instant electro; just added some FX (Roland RE-501 chorus echo or vintage Ursa Major Space Station) and it went crazy! *LOLZ*

    Cool demo video.

  • Bobby O used this machine a lot in the 80´s.

  • I didn't know that. I am not sure if it's the same guy but didn't he help the Pet Shop Boys record their first demos of West End Girls in I think it was his studios in New York.

  • hey dude were i can get one of those is really cool here were i live is really dificult to get some equipment like that

  • Keep looking on ebay, search for Korg kr-55 or Korg KR55. Look for a sellor who will send it out for international delivery. They do come up for sale sometimes. I paid 150 british pounds about 2 years ago.

  • These old analog machines are a must for any real music producer that wants these sounds. Sampling them is an after thought for me because the original rhythms in the box are just as important as the sounds themselves.

  • I forgot to say; nice demonstration! Thanks for the video (:

  • Cool little drum machine, but not programmable. I got a mint one for free a long time ago and sold it in 2007 for like $90 to a collector. No individual outputs, no MIDI of course in 1979. I could see giving $50 for a nice one but $300 is pure madness. It has a nice sounds though. I use samples from it in the MPC.

  • thanks for this demo. i bought a kr55 and sync it with my sh-101 .. but i have a problem there: the tempo is synced, but the sequence is not on the piont, it is not exacly layerd. may it's because roland and korg does not reallly fit together, is it possible that is has to do with the voltage value? its 5V from the kr55 ...anyone has an idea 'bout that?

  • is it possible to programm own beats ?

  • lovre the transitoions and fills and wat not. great video!

    CHeers

  • the 55B version has twice the patterns

  • nice swing!
