The Rooster Dog, a miniature pinscher, has been a nigelparry.com staple ever since the days of the Flying Monkey Airlines Blog. In a surprise move, Roo Dog, despite being only 11 pounds, engineered a blackmail situation involving the procurement of a second dog to the household, his nephew. The New Roo Dog (currently still unnamed) arrived at La Guardia Airport in New York City tonight, and the following video is a record of his first interactions.
The music for this video used to be "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones. On Oct 31, 2008, I got the following notice from You Tube and replaced the music with whatever the hell is on it now.
I'm a musician myself, so I appreciate intellectual property. But as Canadian writer Margaret Atwood once wrote, "Context is all".
When your copyright people have nothing better to do than hit up pet videos on You Tube for copyright violation, perhaps you're moving into the territory where people might start to think less of your music and focus on the fact that you are rich assholes, and stop using your stuff in not for profit contexts which tend to remind people that maybe they should buy "Beggers Banquet" because it was a good album.
I would like to apologize to the Rolling Stones for using their song without permission. My obviously not for profit video of my pets that used their track apparently hit their hot tub and coke fund hard, necessitating their speedy rush to restore their full earnings potential.
