http://americangunsmithinginstitute.org/youtube Many of the finest guns in the world are blued using the rust blue process and it is mandatory for soft soldered double guns. Nitre blue is a process involving heating the parts in a crucible with the appropriate salt.
A professionally done finish using these methods will fetch $300 and more! In the past this information has been limited to a handful of gunsmiths.
In three hours Gene Shuey reveals step by step these little-known processes. Don't miss out on offering this profitable service to your clients.
The Metal Finishing and Hot Caustic Bluing Course previously listed is a prerequisite and should be viewed prior to this course to fully understand the metal preparation process.

@Rynnakkokivaari76 there is no purpose in plugging the barrel because through all the handling and boiling and carding etc. some liquid will eventually leak into the bore. this is not a problem. when you boil the barrel, the rust on the inside will be converted too. all you have to do is run a wire cleaning brush through the bore after you are finished.

I would like to know why in this video (the real one) they don't plug the barrel? Do they do anything to protect the bore at all?

Better video quality would be very helpful.
Thanks for the video!
