On March 6th 1988, the three Irish Republican Army members, Danny McCann, Sean Savage, and Mairead Farell, were shot dead in Gibraltar. The programme examined the shootings and asked why there was no attempt by the Special Air Service to arrest the IRA members. The programme proved to be controversial; the British Government attempted to prevent its broadcast claiming it would prejudice an inquest into the incident.
these murderers would not only have slaughtered the resident batalion's band at their assembly point ,they would have showered Bishop Fitzgerald school with shrapnel which is has a majority of catholic schoolkids and it would have gone off during midmorning recess when the kids look down from their playground onto the band not only that it also would have wiped out the many kids that return to the school from the annex on the other side of the road where the school's labs and gym was located in

@TheCampbell79 I am from Northern Ireland. It is MY country not Dublins. I am also a former British Soldier, there wasn't any tears shed when this incident took place. Indiscriminate murder is an evil crime.

British people must ask themselves would they accept a foreign power for example germany ruling a section of their nation? I imagine the answer would be a resounding no!!!
lets get over our differences and get on with living together FFS

As the old cliche states one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist.
I put my hands up to say that those guys who died in the above piece did so with a notion of irish freedom in their minds. Call them dellusional or terrorists if you must. But that was the rationale behind their attempted attack. They didnt decide to do what they did just because their bad/evil people.

I see the above piece as a disgraceful piece of anti irish british propoganda, where context has no relevance. But im sure people could show me equal examples of where the irish/ira acted in a deplorable fasion.

In fact I have several relatives who are british and i have met very few if no british people who i didn't like or befriend. Irish people and british people have so much in common. Whats the major problem? lets get over all the petty bullshit which has plaqued our nations for centuries.

why do we have to "hate" each other?
I consider myself an irish republican.
Therefore inherently i have a problem with the british "ESTABLISHMENT".(not people)
