My 1966 Dodge Dart with indepedent rear suspension at the autocross. This was September 2008 in Medford, Oregon. Thank you Art for editing and filming the video.
Watch the rear end during the slow motion S curve. And also watch for when I hit the nitrous button on the front straight.

  • so inspired by your car and your blog! I have a 72 swinger that I want to race and I've been thinking about IRS for awhile. super awesome!

  • @BMXVET2010 Glad I could help! The IRS is a lot of work, as you know if you read the blog. My next car I'm going to try upping the performance of the live axle. Probably some sort of link suspension.

  • Bring the rear down about 6 inches and it will handle better.

Less roll steer....lower the whole cars as much as possible

Quit thinking "drag racer" and get into road racer mode....

Talk to Gary Wheeler (AAR) and Tony a2z.... absorb!!

  • thats exactly what mine looks like except mines a 4 door.. but i still love it

  • I made the suspension myself. Check the description for a link to the articles. Yes it is a slant six.

  • what or who made the independent rear for this car? Is this a slant six car?

  • go, A bodies!
