On Columbus Day 2011, Pan Am Railways ran their office car special train from Boston's North Station to the Portland, ME Amtrak station and return for World Wings International, an association of former Pan Am flight attendants. An amfleet coach was entrained between PAR's two business cars. Here, we see the train eastbound on Pan Am's Western Route Main at Lowell Junction Road in Andover, MA, just west of CPF-LJ.

Thanks for watching!

  • Excellent video !!!!!!!!!

  • Not only did you shoot the OCS...but you shot it past the (2nd) Great Wall of the MBTA!!! Great video, you get bonus points from me for getting it by "the great wall".

  • Nah, was gonna, but it sat in the station for 20 mins, so i got photos

  • @TKDMaster20114 Trust me, that isn't a geometry car by any means. Amtrak has only one geometry car called the "Corridor Clipper", and it is very easy to identify with its markings, cab windows, and even a pantograph on top. Besides if Amtrak just wanted to send an official business car up, they would've given them the Beech Grove, which has a conference table inside and an observation deck.

  • Hey look its the great wall of the MBTA!

  • @murjax not sure if it was a normal amfleet car to allow for more seats, but I had heard it was the geometry car from reports on guilfordsitings group on yahoo. It was going to be on the cape and then pan am. I don't know but I'm sure maineboy1979 is right about extra seats.

  • @murjax - This is the first time they've done that. They needed more seats than usual.

  • @murjax this is the first time they've done it but it probably wont happen again.

  • Nice catch. Do they typically throw in an Amfleet on this train?
