We all know the story. A brave and righteous graduate at New York's New School University spoke (and sang) truth to power while Senator John McCain looked on before giving the same keynote address that he gave at Jerry Fawell's Liberty University and Columbia University.

Fear of death is barely anything to be really afraid of. Especially the things you mention since theres nothing in our day to day lives we can do to prevent them. She's saying we shouldn't let blind fear make us take rash action. If theres a problem, you rationally find the best solution, not go around killing anyone you think is associated with the problem without any real intel. Fear shouldn't motivate us. Compassion for the ppl who died should. And they deserve a thought out plan.

Soooo, a BA from a liberal arts college is now an accomplishment? They call it a commencement speech for that exact reason, ITS A COMMENCEMENT. "We have nothing to fear from anyone on this earth, blah, blah...." That statement is so irrational I can't dignify it with any construction of the English language. Once she goes to Afghanistan and meets 12 year olds who have been slitting throats since they were 6 she might rescind some of her uninformed rhetoric. Christ.........

I got shivers up my spine, and that feeling in the pit of my stomach when I heard her speech. We need more people like her in the world...brave enough to be at the front line in the struggle for peace. Hope is still alive for this world. We've got a lot of hard work ahead of us, but as long as there are Jean Sara Rohes out there...we are winning.
