@fred512 I've been posting some of his videos. Unfortunately he is in his late 60's...but still amazing. Past the prime for most violinists, but Ruggiero is amazing!

@crankycaz Leila is fast becoming my favorite violinist....especially at the age of 12, because she had impeccable technique as well as passion at such a young age. It's absolutely amazing and phenomenal.

All three of them - Isaac Stern, and Yehudi Menuhin, and Ruggiero Ricci - were kids in San Francisco at the same time, all of them students of Louis Persinger. It's like all of the great violinists that came out of Odessa or Vilna at the same time. Kind of makes you wonder if there wasn't something in the drinking water!

Heifetz' recording of the Vieuxtemps V will make your blood boil. I remember hearing it as a 14 year old and tears coming to my eyes. I knew then that I wanted to be a musician.
