I've loved this song forever,,, love John Schumann's version too,,, and after years of listening to it,,, tonight amidst a few beers,,, well more than a few,,, I worked it out,,,
Sorry if this upsets anyone,,, I certainly dont thionk it should,,, but this clip,, if I close my eyes,,, fills my mind with the STARS. Love it.

Great stuff. It was this song that baited my interest in The Dingoes in 1977 when I purchased "Five Times The Sun" LP. The original was a bit more relaxed and being a teen I was into reflective songs (I'd have been an Emo by todays description).

Went to see Broderick and Shannon tonight at The Studio in Geelong.
Fantastic.
If they come to a town near you, dont miss them.
I usually catch a band at least every fortnight, tonight was one of the best gigs I have been to.
