  • thanks buddy, brings back great memories....the one on minnesota in 1980 i remember ufer saying 'nobody in america could have stopped that pass'...i kind of miss the days when you had to listen to the radio...but we had ufer...i wonder if you can dig up that minny game and the real coming out party from 1980...mich 35...lee corso 0....the game was supposed to be indianas revenge for 79...lol

  • I found someone who has the Indiana game although the audio is missing and I think there are plays missing too. I'd like to find a better copy.

I recently got a copy of the 81 Minnesota game but I can't find the 80 Minnesota game.

  • at 4:46, is that young lloyd carr sitting down looking at the game action? I could be horribly wrong, but it kinda looks like it could be....

  • Yep. That's him. That was from the 1981 Rose Bowl - Lloyd's first year on the coaching staff.

  • At last! A fine assortment of some of AC's greatest plays. My sympathies to all Wolverines who weren't around to see him live -- but this will give you a glimpse of what it was like.

  • I was born 3 months after he made that catch against Indiana. Would have kiled to see him play live.

  • The best wide reciever to ever wear the maize and blue he played on option teams most of his career at Michigan and still holds some records.

  • @WolverineHistorian That is still the single most-exciting play that I have ever witnessed live in my life. Thanks for all your hard work in preserving Michigan football memories.

  • Miami Hurricane fan here......But I've always liked/respected Mich. Football. Terrell and Edwards were of my era, and they were awesome, but Carter could've played with those two for sure. He'd have been an AA today. Excellent video.

  • The final one against Purdue -- the tipped pass for the touchdown from Steve Smith -- happened right in front of me. Then when I got home, a couple friends said they saw me on TV right at the end of the ABC telecast, waving my arms, Michigan is number 1, etc. I would love to see that. I wonder if anyone has a copy of the ENTIRE telecast of that game.

  • This is so fantastic to watch. What an electrifying player! I was so fortunate to be able to watch him live in the Big House. This brings back terrific memories!

  • Well I posted before i watched, Bob Ufer said it was the Northwestern game where he had the Punt return for the TD.. Another thing, Steve Smith was a good QB, could throw and run..

  • I had read a story about AC a few days before his first game. They talked about how small he was and has skinny legs but was so fast.. Bo had said fans should not expect much as he was going to bring him along slow. I was at his first game, can't remember who they played now, but I do believe the first time he was sent in it was to return a punt, he took it in for a TD...

  • What a video, truly one of the best players ever to wear the maize and blue.
