Of all the members in the Democratic caucus, one might have expected the most trouble to come from Arlen Specter, a recently converted Republican. Of course, such supposition would be wrong; he's been quiet as a church-mouse.
Interesting that he'd criticise Republican obstruction, but when it comes to Joe Lieberman, he's, once again, kinda muted.
The "polls" that you use to back up your position are probably from MSNBC or another equally discredible organization, not much better than pulling them out of your ass. Besides, most proponents of universal health care are simply supporting a system in which somebody else would pay for yet another service to be rendered to them.
The most efficient form of supplying anything is for those who use the service to simply pay for what they use. Less government, not more.

Actually, a clear majority of Americans does, in fact, want universal healthcare. Look up the numbers instead of pulling facts from your ass. Now, not all of them agree on how to achieve that. We already have a very inefficient form of universal healthcare - anyone can go into an Emergency room and they are required by law to treat that person. Preventive care is much cheaper and more efficient.

I love how he's quick to supply reasons why he left the Republican party... He was never conservative in any way shape or form and most Republicans are glad to have him gone. He will be truely removed from the process in November 2010.
BTW- "the vast overwhelming majority of Americans" do not want universal healthcare.
