Z-Stuff Crossing Gate Demo

This is a video of the Z-Stuff O scale crossing gate demo. These are by far the coolest signals out there. They are controlled by sensors that detect occupation of crossing, and optical detection of approach. They will clear up if train activates them and doesn't go into the crossing.

So out of curiosity... why do the lights go out before the gate is raised? Is this something you can set it to do?

That's how they were designed. I don't like that feature. I'd rather have the lights stay on as the gate is rising as thats how it really works. I emailed the company, telling them about that, and how they have the gates on upside down. They said there's nothing they can do about it. :(

So the bell only sounds as the gate lowers or raises. Nice Signal!

You have an option to set it to ring the whole time, or like this. Also, you can control the speed of the gate decending as well. :)

Slow lights a little.

Bell sound is crap - unless this recording.

Lights continue until gate up.

What moves gate? Little motor?
