This shows the two joysticks side by side as well as the audible difference when you replace the higher force microswitches with our new low force upgrades.

  • Great question. Typically spring to center is controlled more by the tension spring than the micro switch. The micro does contribute, but because the leafs are not against the plunger at center, the micros do not apply a consistent force. There is also the issue of varying lengths along the lever arm etc that change the effects of the micro on the joystick. These new switches create a much smoother effect throughout the joystick movement and the tension spring provides ample centering force.

  • Just having fun with what's out there, they were custom made for us though. I need to check we might be out too....

As far as the types of joysticks, these won't work in the JLF as that's a pcb based set of micros unless you want to do some DIY mods. The JLF also does not use the metal leafs shown on the micros so you can mod the JLF with any of our low weight micros.

Our pink tops have a JLF shape, with seimitsu short throw, not a bad combo

  • All you have to do is remove 6 screws, pop the originals off then push the new ones on. It's very very simple to do, but I will work on a video showing it.

  • LOL I just got my zippyy from you today :) Was just checking out some vids on arcade sticks, and here you are! Small world...

  • But how does this affect the dynamics of the stick (spring-to-center, deflection, etc.)?

  • Hi!!

Can you describe how hard can be the replace process??
