levip100..you are wrong. Most who are forced to register are not violent offenders. Most did very little wrong or nothing at all. 95%+ of those on the registry law enforcement reports are no threat and should be removed but the laws prevent this common sense from happening. I know a sex offender that was convicted 13 years ago. After doing 5 years in a program he was released and never has gotten into trouble since. If the truth be known, most people have commited crimes just as bad so why should they be judging. If they are not hurting anyone, let them alone.

Most sex offenders have committed non-violent crimes, far from murder, and rarely re-offend. There is a huge difference and most sex offenders should not be forced to live with murderers.
