This is a wonderful, acoustic version of a beautiful song. What makes it more special for me, is that it was recorded at the Pebble Mill Studios in Birmingham, England. Less than a mile from my home.. These studios have since been demolished...

Does anyone know if a recording of Perhaps Love exists with this smooth feel/tempo? The guitar part in all my recordings is kind of plunky and I find this much more appealing.

I had parted ways with H.J. several years before this aired (reasons known to those who matter).
Annie saw him at the Victoria shows. Sitting on an adjacent barstool, the two of us listening to Roy, she said "No no - - he's gone back - just one man, one guitar - - you HAVE to see him again."
I said "OK, if I get the tickets, would you like to come with me ?"
New Theatre, Oxford.1982. First date.
Annie still IS my song.

Wow. What a great interview. John didnt bat an eyelid even when asked tough questions about his broken marriage. What an intelligent guy. President Denver. If he had lived longer. Perhaps Love. The most intelligent love song ever written???
